The Random Acts of Kindness Festival kicked off last night in Clonakilty with very well attended, fun-packed street entertainment.

The bubble festival (as the kids called it) was a great crowd pleaser as children were given free tubs of bubbles – Connolly street was transformed into bubbles, smiles, music, food and entertainment.

This is the very first festival of its kind and is a unique event designed to bring the community together including businesses, voluntary organisations and individuals for a weekend that promises to be all- inspiring.

The festival celebrates and encourages the spirit of kindness and the welcoming nature of not only Clonakilty, but also of the Irish people.
The festival creates an environment for everyone in the town – locals and visitors – to do small, simple acts of kindness to make someone else smile.
Festival organisers believe that positivity and kindness multiplies and spreads throughout the locality creating a special atmosphere.
