Mom-isms! Have a great Mothers Weekend, x — 5 Comments

  1. @ Jude – thank you, and a nice site you have too!

    @ Grandad – LOL! I LOVE it!

Your comment made me remember these:

    1. My mother taught me to APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE.
"If you're going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning."

    2. My mother taught me about RELIGION.
"You better pray that will come out of the carpet."

    3. My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL.
"If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!"

    4. My mother taught me about LOGIC.
"Because I said so, that's why."

    5. My mother taught me about IRONY.
"Keep crying, and I'll give you something to cry about."

    6. My mother taught me about STAMINA.
"You'll sit there until all that spinach is gone."

    7. My mother taught me about the CIRCLE OF LIFE.
"I brought you into this world, and I can take you out."

    8. My mother taught me about BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION.
    "Stop acting like your father!"

    9. My mother taught me about ANTICIPATION.
"Just wait until we get home."

    10. My mother taught me about GENETICS.
    "You're just like your father."

    11. My mother taught me about FEAR.
"One day you'll have a child who'll do the same things to you."

  2. Funny, we also have something like this (the one you remembered in the comments section)it's in our own language Tagalog but essentially the same. It made me think that mothers almost always say the same things to their kids, lolz. Sometime when I hear my sister tell her kids off in the same way I did with my son, I would tell her she just copied what I said and I had copyrights. But then again, I think I also heard it from another mom. Plan to blog about this…hope that's okay with you. Please do visit my blog, too. Great posts, I will most likely be visiting a lot.

  3. Hi Foxy, Wow you are such a busy lady! I am impressed! I have visited your treasure box (lovely) and will soon visit the others as well. Oh yes, its fine, blog away about this piece – just like you – most of them I have heard from so many moms! We all seem to say the same things, x
